Great piece here from intrepid cub reporter Scott Wyant and Mike Voyack. If you’ve been to a game at the Siegel Center the last four years, you’ve seen Ralph Theus letting everybody know exactly who No. 10 on the floor is. Hint: It’s his son.

Having a father proud of his son is a great thing…no matter how it is illustrated…Darius is blessed.

They look so much alike! Going to be bittersweet Wednesday night to say goodbye to Darius and our other seniors. They’ve been great and will be sorely missed. That sign SHOULD have a life in the Stu!!

In the past 4 years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Ike, Val and their 4 sons. What a nice family! Darius is now the “face” of VCU basketball, if not the entire university. As an alumnus, I am very satisfied w/his position of leadership and representation. I am very proud of this young man. Thank you Shaka Smart for seeing the worth in Darius to bring him into our family. I hope that you and your staff are able to find more out there just like him! I like to win just like everyone else — but ain’t it fun to be able to do it w/people who make you so proud. Best of luck to Darius and Troy and David.
